In May of 2024, we spent the morning sailing from Anegada to Great Harbour, Jost Van Dyke. The light winds made it a longer trip than expected, but once our catamaran Why Knot was firmly secured to a mooring ball, we took a taxi to the famous Soggy Dollar Bar on White Bay. This beach is truly stunning, with its crystal-clear turquoise waters and powdery white sand, making it one of the most beautiful stretches of beach in the BVI 🌴🌊.
Gensler had only one request for this trip: to spend some time at the Soggy Dollar Bar because his daughter wanted those special plastic cups you get with a Painkiller cocktail. The Soggy Dollar Bar is renowned for its signature drink, the Painkiller, which is a delicious mix of rum, pineapple juice, orange juice, and cream of coconut topped with grated nutmeg 🍹. It’s the perfect drink to enjoy while soaking in the incredible views of White Bay.
I had to capture this moment! A fantastic group of ladies, probably current and former cheerleaders, were having a blast posing for a photo. I couldn’t resist pushing Rob into the mix. The ladies found it hilarious and played along perfectly! Rob was all smiles in the photo. Not sure if it was because of the lovely ladies surrounding him or the fact he was holding 24 plastic Soggy Dollar cups! 😂📸
White Bay and the Soggy Dollar Bar never disappoint, offering a perfect combination of fun, relaxation, and unforgettable memories 🌅💛.
