Three Shades of Yellow and a Parade Up Ahead

There’s bright, and then there’s Porsche yellow bright. This past weekend, we brought our own sunshine to the parking lot. What started as a casual morning meet-up quickly turned into a full-blown yellow takeover.

Up front was my 2023 Boxster GTS 4.0 in Racing Yellow, turning heads and collecting bugs like it’s part of the detailing package.

Randy and I chatting. He also showed off his immaculate 997.2, which is a real beauty.

Parked beside it: Randy’s absolutely spotless 2009 997.2 911 in Speed Yellow, a car so clean it might have been hermetically sealed since delivery. And just beyond, Matt’s Boxster, glowing in the morning light like it knew it was part of something good.

Randy’s 997.2 and Matt’s Boxster way out yonder.

We didn’t coordinate outfits—but when three yellow Porsches park in formation under the Texas sun, you lean in and let The Yellow Rose of Texas set the tone.

And we’re not done yet. All three of us—plus at least a dozen other friends—are gearing up to convoy to Porsche Parade 2025 in Oklahoma City. After watching this preview video, it’s clear that this year’s 70th anniversary Parade is shaping up to be the kind of event you’ll regret leaving early. Spoiler alert: I maybe staying the whole week.😁

If last week’s meetup was any sign of the fun to come, we’re in for a treat. Check out the shot from that day—my Racing Yellow GTS lined up with a fire-breathing Guards Red 911 and a head-turning Miami Blue 718 Cayman. It wasn’t just colorful—it was basically a rolling Porsche flag.

So whether you’re joining the Parade or watching from afar, just know we’re not just driving up—we’re rolling deep, loud, and brightly colored.
