Why We Love Cooper Island Beach Club 🌴🍹

Not everyone enjoys Cooper Island Beach Club. Some find it a bit dull since there’s not much to do here other than relax on the beach, sip on a selection of hundreds of rums at the rum bar, grab a coffee or ice cream, browse the boutique, check out the dive shop, or enjoy great food and drinks at the restaurant. But honestly? That’s exactly why we love it here.

The Rum Bar has a selection of several hundred bottles of rums from all over the world

Over the years, we’ve brought a lot of friends to the BVI, and almost all of them who enjoy fine dining love this place. Those who prefer pub food or are looking for a livelier scene? Probably not their vibe. Cooper Island is a place to chill—not for those expecting a booze cruise or a rowdy beach bar. The entire place is kept immaculately clean, and the landscaping is beautiful and tasteful. The best part? It’s peaceful—the sound of waves gently lapping ashore isn’t drowned out by head-pounding music.

For lunch today, Liz had the Buddha bowl with seared rare tuna, while I went with the Asian Seared Tuna Salad. Both dishes were excellent—just another reason we keep coming back every trip.

After dropping off our friends, we decided to come straight here, where we may stay two nights… or four. We haven’t decided, and we’re in no rush—we’re just enjoying the moment with no boxes to check.

One of my favorite little details? They have these tables in the water to hold your drinks. Some may not approve, but I use mine to set up my Starlink Mini, so I can have high-speed internet right from the beach. Not a bad office setup. 😉
