Relaxing at Typsy by Anne at Cow Wreck Beach n Anegada in BVI

Uninterrupted tranquility at Cow Wreck Beach, Anegada

Another day in paradise at Typsy Ann at Cow Wreck Beach, Anegada. This gem in the British Virgin Islands remains our go-to spot for uninterrupted relaxation. A stark contrast to yesterday’s spring break hustle, today greeted us with serene solitude. We reveled in having the beach to ourselves, a rare treat. The crystalline waters stretched out before us, blending seamlessly into the horizon, while the gentle sea breeze whispered through the palms. As we lounged under the shade of our beach umbrella, with not a care in the world, it became one of those perfect island days where time just drifts by.

Nothing beats a cold drink and great company at Typsy Ann on Anegada’s Cow Wreck Beach. Cheers to island vibes!

As visitors gradually arrived, they mainly gathered for games like pool, Jenga, and cornhole near the bar rather than the sand and sea. Lucky for us! This meant the beach stayed refreshingly quiet. It felt like we had our own private slice of paradise, with the turquoise waters as our constant companion. Kudos to Ann’s fantastic team, whose attentive service ensured our glasses were never empty, with chilled drinks in hand and easy smiles to match. The rum punch was especially on point today, and it somehow tasted even better with the sound of waves lapping at the shore.

Relaxing in the Island Breeze at Cow Wreck Beach

As we bid farewell to the beach and promised Ann we’d return later in the year, it felt less like a goodbye and more like a pause in an ongoing adventure. Cow Wreck Beach has that kind of magic—a place where you always feel welcome, where time slows down, and the world’s worries are left far behind.

For dinner, we opted for the Wonky Dog! After the lively atmosphere at Potters by the Sea last night, tonight’s dinner vibe was perfectly relaxed. Our dinner at the Wonky Dog was not just a meal, it was a slice of Anegada’s charm on a plate. Nestled by the water’s edge, this restaurant is a blend of laid-back island atmosphere and culinary sophistication. The evening light reflecting off the sea, paired with the soft chatter of fellow diners, set the perfect tone for what would be a memorable meal.

The culinary star is usually lobster here, but I took a detour with the trigger fish – a first for me and utterly delicious. The delicate, flaky fish was seasoned to perfection, a reminder of why fresh, local seafood reigns supreme in the islands. The roasted garlic bulb for starters was irresistible, and admittedly, I didn’t share as much as I probably should have. Actually, I didn’t share any of it. It was too good to pass around! Each bite was a warm, fragrant burst of flavor, perfect for spreading over the fresh bread that came alongside it.

Although we’re regulars at Potter’s and the Wonky Dog, we’ve yet to explore other dining spots on the island. There’s always next time, right? Anegada has this allure that keeps drawing us back, and with each visit, it feels like there’s something new to discover—even if it’s just a different way to enjoy the same, familiar places. The joy of island life is knowing that there’s always more waiting, whether it’s a new dish, a hidden cove, or simply another perfect day on the beach. Until next time, Anegada, we’ll be back soon! #AnegadaEats #FoodieAdventures #sailinglifestyle #sailing #CowWreckBeach
